Select League
Methuen Youth Lacrosse also offers a Select program team. The Select program provides the players an extra opportunity to play in a more competitive environment. Any players who play on the Select team also have to commit to playing on the city's Classic team. It is necessary to attend at least one Classic practice per week in order to play in the Select and Classic games during the weekend.
A tryout is required to play on a Select team. The focus of the Select league is to play in a more strategic game and to build more advanced skills. Playing time is according to effort, skill and determination. Scores of the games are tabulated and standings are maintained. Playoffs are held at the end of the season.
Spring Registration typically opens in October. Interest in playing for a Select team is indicated during the Classic registration.
