Our league is only as good as our volunteers. Methuen Youth Lacrosse is looking for dedicated and caring adult volunteers whose help provides structure and a smooth running organization. We are always looking for responsible individuals to support and coordinate our league, events and activities.

There are many opportunities available and we are sure that your specialty will be valuable.

Types of Volunteer Positions

Coaching*
head coach, assistant coach, practice coach

Fundraising
be part of committee to help raise funds and keep league fees down

Team Parent
assist coaches with emails, game day prep, sideline activities

Equipment/Facilities
assist in tracking and maintenance of equipment and facilities

Concessions
working game day concession stand

Time/Scorekeeper
running the clock and penalty times as well as updating the score on the big board

Special Event Helper
various miscellaneous event help (Methuen Day, Jamborees, Fun Day, Santa Parade)

We understand that coaching lacrosse might feel daunting. Trust us, most of our coaches have been there! Methuen Youth Lacrosse along with our parent league Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse is dedicated to providing the resources and education needed to train your players and help them to love the sport of lacrosse!

League Volunteer Fee

There will be a $30 volunteer fee included in this year's registration. Parent volunteers are essential to maintain a successful program with low registration fees. As a parent, you are part of the MYL family. Every family is expected to fulfill their volunteer commitment to the league.

If a family cannot fulfill their volunteer requirement, families may choose to pay the fee buyout as part of the registration. For those that are able to volunteer, this $30 will be returned to you at the end of the season.
